Since the sixties, small interactive meetings featuring leading international researchers in the field of obstructive airway diseases have been held in Groningen under the unassuming title of “Bronchitis”. In 2019, we will be celebrating its 10th anniversary by organizing “Bronchitis X”.

Bronchitis X with the theme: “Prevention and Resolution of Lung Disease”, promises to be as exciting and cutting edge as in previous years. Sessions will focus on structural, immunological, epidemiological, environmental, and (epi)genetic aspects of obstructive lung diseases. There will also be a crossing border session to understand mechanisms underlying lung fibrosis.

These topics will be presented and discussed by renowned researchers in these areas, and there will be an emphasis on discussion and interaction between all participants. In the past, this format has led to stimulating and inspiring discussions, often generating new insights and hypotheses. During the social program, participants will have the opportunity to interact with each other in surroundings conducive to thought and enjoyment. Young researchers will have an opportunity to present new data and interact with experts in the field.
