The European Diabetic Nephropathy Study Group (EDNSG) was founded by a group of Diabetes Specialists with a particular interest in nephropathy. The group is made up of Nephrologists and Diabetologists with an interest in diabetic kidney disease ranging from the structural and functional to the clinical.

The aim of the EDNSG is to assemble researchers interested in diabetic renal disease in order to study epidemiology, pathology, pathophysiology and treatment of this complication of diabetes mellitus. The ultimate goal of the EDNSG is to prevent the appearance or the development of kidney disease and to search for the best treatment of this condition in diabetic patients.
To become a member of the group one has to present an abstract at one of the annual meetings. We are particularly encouraging attendance of new researchers in the field and welcome members from all over the world.
