The city of Lisbon is ready to host the 19th Wonca Europe Conference in 2014. Under the theme "New Routes for General Practice and Family Medicine" Portuguese Association of General Practitioners - APMGF - is preparing a conference to explore the new trends of the specialty. General Practice and Family Medicine should renew itself, to guarantee its future. And therefore warranting peoples' health care and patient safety.
We need to assure that community health needs are fullled and GP's are satis ed with their work. The foundation of 21st century's health systems must be more than ever Primary Health Care.
